MANATEE COUNTY, FL (August 11, 2022) – Manatee County leaders are working behind the scenes to create a more engaging and enjoyable experience when the Coquina Beach Market reopens in November.
“Every aspect of the market is being studied,” said Manatee County Administrator Scott Hopes. “From location to hours and dates of operation to enhancing vendor and guest opportunities.”
More than 150 vendors have responded to initial survey requests, expressing their interest in continuing to work with the new management team, which is already investigating best practices along with ways to make the market a true asset to everyone who enjoys Manatee’s award-winning beaches.
“We want to integrate this into the beach experience,” said Hopes, who is spearheading the team who will hone the process and procedures to produce a unique and user-friendly marketplace.
In addition to several site surveys and first-hand facilities tours, planners will continue to engage stakeholders—from vendors to shoppers—to ensure no opportunity to improve the experience is overlooked. Expect more details on the new-and-improved Coquina Beach Market well in advance of the November reopening.
