MANATEE COUNTY, FL (June 16, 2022) – Following an intense and thorough search, Jennifer Harmon has been named Human Resources Director for Manatee County Government.
Harmon brings over two decades of HR management experience to this position, having served as the Human Resources Director for Community Health Systems in St. Cloud and Venice, FL. She has an extensive background in employee relations, with leadership roles in both public and private sector organizations, dating back to the 1990s. She has championed employee engagement amidst cultural changes, as well as developing and implementing recruitment and retention strategies.
“Jennifer is excited to get started,” said Manatee County Administrator Scott Hopes, who introduced her to the Manatee County Board of Commissioners today.
A cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, Harmon went on to earn a Master of Science in Human Resources and Business Education from the University of Tennessee.
“This is a wonderful opportunity,” Harmon said. “I look forward to helping the people who support all of Manatee County continue their work that matters.”
