Financial Management

The Financial Management department consists of the budget, fiscal and procurement divisions for Manatee County. The Budget Division manages the operating and capital improvement budgets, infrastructure sales tax revenues and conducts financial analysis for all county departments. The Fiscal Services Division provides fiscal support for the Department Directors and managers for daily operations of county initiatives. The Procurement Division oversees the purchasing for all county departments and divisions.

Manatee County's Procurement Division earned the following awards:

National Procurement Institute (NPI) Award

The NPI Award for Excellence in Procurement (AEP) is earned by public non-profit organizations that obtain a high application score based on standardized criteria. The AEP is awarded annually to recognize innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership in the procurement function.

Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials (FAPPO) Award

The award is earned by agencies that meet/exceed benchmarks and best practices in the procurement profession.
