General Rules of Using the Landfill
- All vehicles entering the Landfill must go across the scales at the Scalehouse.
- Payments can be made by cash, check and all major credit cards.
- Vehicles with low ground clearance are discouraged.
- Be aware of other vehicles, workers on foot, equipment, traffic control devices and overhead obstructions.
- Scavenging is prohibited at any location at the Landfill.
- Obey all posted signs.
Fees are Determined by:
- Type of Material - such as yard waste, tires, household garbage, etc.
- Weight of Material
- Origin - Waste brought from outside of Manatee County will be charged triple the fee.
Fees will be doubled for the following:
- Improperly covered loads.
- Improperly separated loads. Examples: Yard waste cannot be mixed with regular garbage. Tires cannot be mixed with regular garbage.
Accepted at the Landfill for a fee:
- Scrap metal
- Tires
- Yard waste
- Appliances
- Household garbage
SPECIAL WASTES
- Soils, dredge materials, car wash and street sweeping grit, fill dirt, wastewater cake/sludge and other similar special waste require prior approval for disposal.
- For each load of asbestos brought to the Manatee County Landfill, haulers must schedule the drop-off at least 24 hours in advance by calling 941-748-5543.

- Garbage - $40.00/ton, $20.00 minimum
- Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) - $61.00/ton, $30.00 minimum
- Yard Waste - $40.00/ton, $20.00 minimum
- Tires - $86.00/ton, $43.00 minimum
- Sludge- $61.00/ton
- Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Waste (Manatee County Residents Only) - FREE
- Scrap Metal - $40.00/ton, $20.00 minimum
- Certified Weight - $1.50 each
- Mixed Loads, Uncovered Loads - Double Charged
- Material Outside of Manatee County - Triple Charged
