Code Enforcement Special Magistrate

Purpose

According to Florida Statute 162.03 (2), the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate has the authority to hold hearings and impose fines against violators of the Manatee County codes and ordinances.

Membership Requirements

Legal education and litigation experience are preferred but not essential.

Meetings

Code Enforcement Special Magistrate meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at 09:00 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Chambers located on the first floor at the Manatee County Administration Center, 1112 Manatee Ave West, Bradenton, FL 34205.
