Manatee County accepting applications for Citizens Oversight Committee for Infrastructure Sales Tax

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 15, 2021) — Manatee County is accepting applications for three individuals to be a part of the citizens advisory committee that makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on Infrastructure Sales Tax.

The committee meets periodically to prepare an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners which reviews expenditures of the half-cent infrastructure sales tax that voters approved Nov. 8, 2016.

To qualify applicants must live in unincorporated areas of Manatee County. The term for the seats is two years. All meetings will be publicly noticed.

Applications are due Feb. 12 and may be found online.

The committee meets periodically at 5:30 p.m. at the Manatee County Government Administrative Center, Board of County Commissioners Conference Room 9th Floor, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
