Waiving Permit Fees/Hurricane Recovery 2024:
Manatee County Development Services will be waiving fees on the following permit record types for Residential and Commercial properties that area verified to have damage from 2024 Hurricanes:
- Standard Door/Window Replacement (size for size)
- Standard Roof Replacement
- Standard Electrical (minor electrical repairs)
- Standard Aluminum
- Standard Siding, Soffit & Fascia
- Standard Demolition
- Standard Mobile Home (Replacement Only)
- Standard Fence
- Standard Waterfront
- Standard Residential (alteration for interior repair from water intrusion)
- Permit will be required for all repairs, to include but not limited to, drywall if located within a Flood Zone - Substantial Damage Review Required.
- Permit will not be required for drywall repair if located outside of a Flood Zone, permit may be required based off scope of work outside of a Flood Zone.
- Standard Commercial (alteration for interior repair from water intrusion)
- Permit will be required for all repairs, to include but not limited to, drywall if located within a Flood Zone - Substantial Damage Review Required.
- Permit will not be required for drywall repair if located outside of a Flood Zone, permit may be required based off scope of work outside of a Flood Zone.
Damage will be verified using data collected during damage assessment. This applies to qualifying permit applications submitted September 30, 2024 – March 1, 2025. Permit requirements will follow all other normal guidelines unless otherwise stated. This statement may be revised at the discretion of the Director of Development Services or County Administrator.
