WHAT IS IT?
Academic OneFile Select (formerly Expanded Academic ASAP) is a collection of journal, magazine, and newspaper articles covering arts and the humanities, social sciences, science and technology, and other academic disciplines. It includes peer-reviewed, full-text articles from scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers from 1980 - present.
GETTING STARTED
ACCESS ACADEMIC ONEFILE SELECT THROUGH ANY WEB BROWSER:

Go to the library’s website and click on the orange Research & Learning button and then on the Articles, Research & Information button.

From the A-Z Databases list, click the Academic OneFile Select link. In the sign-in box, enter your library card number where it asks for a password

Note: You may sign in with your own Google or Microsoft account if you would like to upload articles to your Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, but it is not required to use the database.
USING EXPANDED ACADEMIC ASAP

Use Academic OneFile Select by 1) typing in your query in the Search field, 2) choosing Advanced Search for more search options or 3) using the Topic Finder, Subject Guide Search, or Publication Search buttons on the home page. The Publication Search includes a browsable list of all the publications found in the database.

Each article’s web page provides publication information at the top. You also have the option to listen to an audio version of the article or download the mp3 recording by clicking the listen button. The explore column will show you more content related to the article you are viewing.

The cite button allows you to create a citation for the article in multiple citation styles. The Highlights and Notes feature allows you to make annotations within an article. You may email, download, and print a pdf of the article, as well as upload it to your Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.
